CM used to be very good, but then Jack ripped off contest winners and ran away.
Then insecure Lil' Wayne took over. I didn't waste time sparring with him (I don't punch down) but many posters did, some good handicappers left, and the place eroded into nothingness.
Who to follow here?
How about a guy that is currently providing just over 65% in college football with more than 60 plays given out?
I make my own plays but a guy in another forum pointed him out. I thought I'd check it out and, it's true.
He's 20-41 on the college season, yes, 35% (a 65% fade.)
Down almost $9,000 (Or, "about $5,000" as he says. Posters who try to deceive forum participants by cheating on their record are scum.)
That's 90 units (yikes!) at his standard unit size of $100.
You can't fade all his picks because he's resorted to teasers (*the eventual path taken by many losing bettors who can't beat the lines) but his other plays are still solid gold for faders. Naming names isn't necessary (and may be frowned upon for protected posters who, along with their aliases, add quantity) but he's easy to spot.
Just look for a guy who had a record for the first day or two of the season but then disappeared it, the guy who posts lines that are always 1-2 points better than the line at the time he posts.
But, best advice - don't follow anyone. Cap your own games. It's much more satisfying.
And if you haven't had success at capping your own games, it's just like anything else in life - study, work hard, and you'll get better at it.
(* I said "many" 'cappers, not "all." Some bettors have found success using teasers. Whatever works.)
